AI that reaches the building site
This section brings together training on working with artificial intelligence in the trades and on the building site. The starting point is everyday work: quotations and measurements, site diaries and minutes, checklists, defect lists and evaluations. It is about tools that are actually used in the office and on site.
What is taught is the same way of working that produced the game at the end of this page: a clear brief, precise specifications, small corrective steps and a check of every result. Anyone working this way needs no programming knowledge – but does need the willingness to describe exactly what the outcome should be.
The training is led by André Christian Küster – working as an external construction site manager in building construction since 2018, with a craft background in joinery and interior fit-out.
Who this section is intended for
Craft businesses, installation and interior fit-out companies, site management, planning offices and building owners who want to use artificial intelligence in their own company without having an IT department for it.
The training is aimed at companies with two to around fifty employees – carpentry, interior fit-out, drywall, electrical, plumbing, heating, metalwork, plus site management and smaller planning offices. It addresses those who already sit at a computer in the company anyway: owners, master craftsmen, foremen, site managers, office management.
No prior knowledge is required. Anyone who writes an email and produces a quotation in Word brings enough with them. Programming skills are neither required nor taught.
What the sessions cover
The sessions build on one another and can be booked individually or as a series.
Fundamentals
What these tools can and cannot do. Where they are reliable, where they make mistakes, and how to tell the difference.
Writing in everyday construction work
Notices of obstruction, setting of deadlines, replies to supplementary claims, notices of defects. How a usable draft comes about and what must always be checked in it yourself.
Meetings and minutes
From the voice note on site to the finished minutes. Structure, follow-up work, distribution list.
Evaluating documents
Contracts, bills of quantities, correspondence. How to search large volumes of documents without relying on the summary.
Templates and repetition
How a formulation found once becomes a template that the company uses permanently.
Limits and responsibility
Data protection, trade secrets, liability. What does not belong in a tool of this kind.
How the training is delivered
On site at the company, online or combined – on site has proven more effective, because the work is done on your own documents.
Group size of three to eight people. Above that it becomes too little hands-on.
One session lasts around three hours. Arranged as a series, the dates are usually one to two weeks apart, so that what has been learned is applied in everyday work in between.
Each participant needs a computer with internet access, plus a screen or projector for the shared parts. Software is set up during the training.
From enquiry to implementation
Initial conversation
A phone call or an appointment at the company. We look at which tasks currently cost time and where a tool actually changes something.
Agreeing the contents
On this basis I put the contents together. Practice is done on documents from your own company, not on invented examples.
Delivery
A short explanation, then the work begins. Every participant applies what has been shown to a task of their own.
Follow-up
A written summary with the templates developed. I am available for questions in the weeks that follow.
How this game came about
It was not built by a games studio. It was built by a person with no programming experience, together with AI. No prior knowledge of game development, no ready-made framework, but a clear brief, precise specifications and many small corrective steps.
That is exactly how we work on construction projects with digital tools, too.
Idea
A full Tetris following the official guideline – with rotation system, wall kicks, lock delay and leaderboard. Not "something with blocks", but a solid list of requirements, as is taken for granted on a building site.
Execution
The AI writes the code, every step is checked: game rules against the specification, colours against accessibility, behaviour against reality. Defects found are named and fixed, not talked away.
Result
A game that runs on computer and phone, needs no framework and fits into the website. The same route works for quotations, measurements, checklists and evaluations in everyday construction work.
